Program & Philosophy
How our program works
Spring Kidz provides a program guided by the principles, practices and outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework. The program extends and enriches children’s learning, supports transition to school, and is shaped around each child’s developmental needs, interests, and family context.
Learning experiences are play based and informed by current research into child development. Educators plan for individual children and the group, creating a cross-cultural and non-discriminatory environment where children are loved, valued, respected, and cared for.
Families are encouraged to participate at a level they choose. The centre has an open door policy and values positive partnerships, honest communication, newsletters, information evenings, parent meetings, emails, special events, and each child’s portfolio.
Our philosophy recognises each child as unique, precious, and individual. We provide a warm, homely, and nurturing environment with flexible, interest-based learning that supports being, belonging and becoming, builds a love of learning, and helps children develop confidence, independence, and school readiness.
Educators model and follow health and safety standards, including hygiene, manual handling, and risk assessment. Children are encouraged to take part in sustainable practices such as recycling, reusing, and reducing rubbish, learning to respect and care for their environment.
We use positive communication and consistent behaviour guidance. The program promotes an equitable, unbiased, non-sexist, non-racial, and multicultural environment, and policies and procedures are reviewed to support children, families, staff, and ongoing quality improvement.

Policies & Procedures
Our services policies and procedures cover a great deal of what we do within our service. This is a legal requirement of the national, state and local government laws and regulations and is designed this way to ensure consistent, safe and quality education and care for all children inclusively.
The policies are available in our entry foyer and you are welcome and invited to access and read these at any time. As a part of ensuring a quality service we invite all families throughout the year to be involved in the updating of our policies and procedures in order for the environment to reflect our community of stakeholders.
